Really dumb of them. Arnold has vetoed it before and he will veto it again. It just makes him look good again going into the November special election.
Only Democrat voting against was Machado (Stockton area).

Gov needs to also overturn the ruling of the Judge who ignored the will of the people on Prop 187 some 10yrs ago.
I can't wait to leave this crappy state.

What did California do to deserve this kind of boneheaded "leadership"?

Hello, we're talking about liberals. What else is new? I can't imagine someone being so stupid as to encourage illegal immigration by such moronic proposals, but apparantly, legislators in California are.

2. Brings in the insurance company money. They want to sell insurance.
and number one
1. Brings in the transportation lobby money. They want to depress wages of truckers, cab drivers. Good for America the ultra free traders will tell you.

The Ca. senate voted for this and this is what their constituents want?
Do you know how Texas would react if legislation was even proposed!
To: Shermy
It was dumb for the Democrats because it's not going anywhere and everyone knows it. It only gives Arnold another chance to do the right thing in the minds of the vast majority of Californians It brings in NO money, because it doesn't become law and never will.

You let the hippies stay and you didn't listen to Ronald Reagan.
Instead, y'all went back to sleep and let the insanity take over.

Someone proposes it every legislative session in TX. It never goes anywhere, and 2/3rds of the time that person isn't in office after the next electoral cycle.

""What did California do to deserve this kind of boneheaded "leadership"?""
Hey! It's those idiots, fags, and hippy losers out there who voted these guys into office. They have no one to blame except themselves. I think all the conservatives should leae Cali, and cripple its economy. Send a message. Ah, but something that sounds so simple is hardly ever so.

Schwarzenegger on Driver Licenses for illegal aliens during a January 2004 Interview with Univision:
We are right now in the middle of working very hard with Senator Cedillo. My staff and his staff. Everyone is working together. And we are absolutely positive that we will come up with a great bill. With his help and with my team's help, I think we will work it out. So there's, uh, really a good move forward. Interviewer: How would you deal with more conservative members of the legislature...?
Schwarzenegger: Again, it's one of those things where we all have to get together and see that this is a good idea and this is the way to move forward. So, I am talking to my Republican friends all the time about it, and also to my Democratic friends. We will do it.
Washington Times, 3/02/04
"Our staffs have met, and they're working on this together,"
said Vincent Salido, spokesman for the Republican governor
