They are talking about setting up camps in DC a la sKerry and the VVAW. Calling it Bushville, DC.
http://www.bushville.org
They'd better study up on how MacArthur handled the Bonus Army.
Oh, no word on why the survivors aren't doing something useful for other survivors.

Using victims again, I see. Just like they used Sheehan.

Welcome to FR.
They wish they'd get the Bonus Army treatment, but we're too smart to martyr these nutballs.

It's easier to step on roaches when they're in the light. These idiots are going a long way to making 2006 another repeat of 2002.
To: Peach
I think this one will blow up in their faces in a big way.

Precisely.
They felt that they got some traction with Sheehan...and will keep trying this tactic with any person who arrives with some sympathy...in order to use it as a bully pulpit.
To: FixAmericaFirst
So...they're leaving one slum and creating another?

I dunno about this. Sounds iffy. These people are so traumatized it seems they wouldn't have any energy left to make a trip to DC to make a political statement. Plus, they don't even know who's to blame yet. Remember they haven't had much access to TV/Radio lately. Only thing i can think of is that the DesperCrats have pulled these people along with some promises...

Replay of an early Swift Boat counterattack. Instead of responding to the book Kerry sent Max Cleland to Bush's ranch to tell Bush to stop attacking Kerry.

I wouldn't be suprised if some of the evacuees turn out to be fakes anyway.

...to tell President Bush to stop blaming local officials for his mistakes ...Is that like Cindy Sheehan telling President Bush to "stop using my son's name?" Because just like I don't remember President Bush using Casey Sheehan's name, I don't remember President Bush blaming local officials.
And he should. He should, he should, because incompetent state and local officials killed people.
GOVERNOR BLANCO'S HOMELAND SECURITY DEPARTMENT STOPPED THE RED CROSS FROM DELIVERING FOOD AND WATER TO THE SUPERDOME... and why? To deliberately make conditions worse so people would leave. Yes, all the suffering we saw, all the people who were starving, dehydrating, being beaten and raped... all a deliberate design on behalf of the Blanco administration. This is unbelievable. This is repulsive. This is freakin' criminal. And I don't understand why this isn't the top story on every news outlet everywhere.

I love the people they get to go on camera to bash Bush, the other night I was watching FNC and Greta was interviewing a lady who was crying about how bad it was and then she finished her interview by giving a "message to Mr.Bush, you won't get reelected this time because I wont be voting for you!" I laughed for an hour.

I've been working with a number of these displaced people here in San Antonio and have yet to come across one(1) who is blaming the Fed. It's rare to hear anyone complain about long it took for aid to arrive. Most are either very quiet or very thankful for what the volunteers are doing.

The ignorance is astounding.
And New Orleans and Louisiana have been Democratic territory for over 40 years.
This is the best they can do? Huge percentages of their citizenry living in abject poverty and ignorance.

Cardboard? They can spraypaint their beggary on the plasma screens they looted.

Was wondering when moveon.org would raise its butt-ugly head.

I'll bet that the refugees get their debit cards before leaving for DC.
