Politicans listen on to those who contribute the most to their war chests. I (sadly) gave up on my representatives a couple of years ago. (I had been a once a week caller for several years.)
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Why do you think they listen to the special interest groups? They are small but very loud. We need to do the same. Let our voices be heard and not be defeatists.
