You don't know if he's dangerous.

And you don't either. And neither does the Secret Service until they take him away and find out, which is what I think they should do. Just as all disruptors that stand and shout during speeches are physically removed from the building.

Have you ever seen such disruptors allowed to stay?

The "fire in the theater" as far as I know is still the constitutional precedent.

The time required for this man to pick up something, or pull something from his pocket and throw it, would have been seconds. He should have been removed, and for all we know, he was immediately after the incident.

I'll defer to them.

They are removed for disrupting, not for other reasons. It is rightfully so in that setting. I for one am happy to live in a country where people are not afraid to stand up to their politicians. Your milage may vary.

ROTFLMAO,,,thanks, you have a great sense of humor. It gets funnier every time you say it. Imagine, that old joke on a conservative site,,,it's a barrel of monkeys! LOL

In which case, he shouldn't have been anywhere near the VP.

He should have been removed, and for all we know, he was immediately after the incident.

So what?

I saw it in real time. It was nothing. A tempest in a teapot.

The precendent is Schenck v. The United States

Chief Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes said, "The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a theatre and causing a panic."

so yes, the US Supreme court still uses the "crowded theater nonsense"....what do they use in your country?

I never said the decision was nonsense. Please reread.

The constant use of the decision to justify every possible usurpation of the first amendment is nonsense. Liberal nonsense in fact.

BTW, shove that "my country" crap back where it came from. It's nonsense too.

Thanks. I knew somebody could find it. My links were all dead.

Wasn't there also a second incident where the "yeller" was held several months without charges?

Why couldn't local police arrest somebody?

Fine, but the situation we are discussing regarding Clinton had the SS arrest them. Oh, and they were later auudited by the IRS.

for telling someone to "f' off" of "go f' yourself" - come-on - we'd have to arrest 90% of the beat cops and 100% of the marines in the USA. We'd have to close down HBO and cut 80% of movie production (maybe not such a bad thing!!).

Hey, did you know that 95% of statistics are made up on the spot?

Fellow Freepers:

At the suggestion of writer Michelle Malkin last Friday, I have cobbled together a blogsite called Texas Clearinghouse for Katrina Aid to serve as a clearinghouse for refugee efforts in Texas.

Texas is getting more refugees than any other state -- that's fine, we'll take them all -- but we need help providing them with food, clothing, medicine, and shelter. We need help taking care of their pets, too.

If you are a refugee, you can information that will help you find relief. If you want to donate or volunteer, you can find someone who needs you. Believe me, there are a lot of organizations who need your help.

Right now the site mostly covers Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas but I'm adding more every night. My wife was down at Reunion Arena in Dallas Tuesday handing out care packages and spiritually ministering to the refugees as a representative of her employer. She says that the situation is tragic and that there's a lot of work to be done. There are so many children who don't know where their parents are or even if their parents are still alive.

There are a lot of churches and other organizations in Texas that need help in dealing with the problem and I would appreciate it if you would get the word out.

Many thanks,

Michael McCullough

Stingray blogsite

What is your problem?

That was a poor joke by me....... sorry.

Take care...... I was commenting (poorly) on Nancy Pelosi's nasty comments about G.W.

The media and the Dems. have been over the edge on the treatment of G.W. I'm going out in the woods for a few days............... I can't take the lies about G.W. any more............... it's overwhelming.

You watch the store.

It was a politics question I believe and Mr Cheney said he was done talking to him about it. Shep kept egging him on to get into the politics of the Hurricane and you could see Cheney get irritated when Shep kept pushing him. If there is something other than that happend than I didn't see it.

my son refused to read bad words out loud when they were reading a book in class. He was made fun of for having high standards and "not speaking trash" as he calls it. He's 12.

Sounds like someone one is doing a great job of raising the next generation of men! It warmed my heart to hear that story.....your kids are very lucky that they have dedicated and loving parents.

Have a great weekend. I will remember to take some time out and honor all those who died on 9/11...and of course our military.
