Yep still have my collection of old jap glass float balls from the fishing nets.... blew up a few old jap sea mines an one cache of ordnance found on Shemya in the late 70's..... Ya'll ever figure out how to get rid of them black flies and monster mosquitos give me a shout !

Hey, The whitesocks and no seeums were the worst for us. Even by spraying yourself with Raid yard & garden insecticide, it was as nectar to them critters.

One of the best natural insect repellents was cucumber weed juice, weed was also great in salads and later in the summer produced those great watermelon berries.

Ever make any fire weed honey? I scoffed when first told about it, but it was delicious if made right. Wife had 10 recipes for making it.
