Unless you've got a different photo than the one in post 114, I think it's a "kit gun" with a home-made receiver. Two things mitigate against it being a gen-yew-wine chicomm rifle -- you can't see the upper front trunion rivits because the sling covers them, but since the Chinese use a diagonal pattern for the upper rivets, rather than the standard in-line arrangement, I think it'd probably show even with the sling hanging there.
Also, the finish on the receiver does NOT even come close to matching the bluing on the dust cover, barrel, sight block, gas block, and front sight block. In addition to not matching them, it's light, uneven, and CRUDE.
I think that rifle is a product of a "build party".
