The USAS-12 is long gone, but the Saiga 12 (listed upthread) is here. If you put enough US parts on it, it isn't subject to being classed as a DD under 18 USC 922. Of course, that assumes that the BATF is honest, too..

We don't have cable, and I never watch t.v. We're at the beach this week though, and there's cable here. Sheesh...I need to get out more. Mostly a bunch of trash. You're probably going to laugh at me, but for the first time now I understand the difference in bias between CNN and Fox. :-) It's amazing. :-)

Nope. You just can't take a stand for long and survive. I do practice 1000 yard shots but that is a stretch on 10X scope on 270 or 30-06. I practice stealth by stalk hunting deer some times. But a lone man against even a small modern force is not going to last long. I hope I never see the day that that is a reality. I hope my descendents never see that day.

As for home defense and self defense against thugs, I'm ready and make it obvious. Who's house is going to get robbed, the American Flag flying gun nut or the rainbow flag flying Kerry Voter.

No..no...no... :-) Not ALL at the same time. :-)

Of all the combinations we could make of camo, guns, women, and beer...."drinkin" and shooting is one we just don't do. We grew up with a bunch of people who (stupidly) mixed firearms, and consumption of copious amounts of alcohol, and my wife will PUT THE SMACK DOWN on anybody at our place early in their festivities if they even come CLOSE to breaking this rule.

But even by keeping that one rule, a lot of fun can be had with that combination of camo, guns, women, and BEER! :-)

I "think" life is good for me. :-) Yeah...try it for a year. I think it changes one's perspective. I get all my news HERE, and local A.M. talk radio. Most of what I EVER hear about the issues of the MSM at the time is only ever just an unconfirmed rumor to me. I simply don't care about them to even look into it and confirm. :-)

I'll say this...I think I save a lot of aggravation for avoiding the MSM almost 100%.

Yesterday I bought some more ammo for the few guns that I own.

While there I decided to purchase a Mossberg 12 guage pump for $199. After filling out that yellow form 3 times (they will reject it for the least mistake) I was told it was "under review" or something.

Ive bought guns in Texas before and hoped I would get instant approval this time. I had to wonder if the delay isnt intentional due to the sudden rash in gun purchasing.

Several other men there seemed to be in the market for a shotgun also. By the way im talking Walmart here, any store that sells guns is ok in my book.

It has only been 24 hrs, I expect to get the call to pick up the Mossberg any day now.

PS: A box of 50 .25 shells were $12! What a worthless caliber compared to the .22

My TV watching is actually the Car Shows on Discovery & TLC , Spike TV etc and some of the outdoor shows on OLC channel.....When I see FR reports as to something amiss in our world I search it out on the noooooze then and only then.....yer way sounds better !
