Who Killed Evelyn?

Who Killed Evelyn?

Her tiny body was found along a riverbank in Floyd county two months ago today. Now there are new details in the investigation into who killed five-year-old Evelyn Miller. Channel 13 has learned that a grand jury will convene Thursday in the investigation and one of the witnesses is a relative of Evelyn Miller.

A grand jury will convene to decide if there is enough evidence to make an indictment in the Evelyn Miller murder investigation. We don't know who the focus of the grand jury is. We only know that one of the witnesses is Jeremiah Christie - Evelyn's uncle. Jeremiah tells us he was interviewed late last week by investigators.

Christie says he recieved this subpoena on Tuesday. It calls on Jeremiah to testify before a grand jury in Cedar Rapids on Thursday. According to the Christie's nobody else in Evelyn's immediate family recieved supoena's - not evelyn's father- Andy or Evelyn's grandparents.

Jeremiah says he believes he was called because of the hour long interview with investigators last Friday. That interview he says focused entirely around the demeanor of Evelyn's mother Noel and stepfather Casey in the days after the little girls disappearance.

A grand jury hearing is by design secretive. There is no public witness list and prosecutors won't even confirm it is taking place. Evelyn's family says they hope its the first step in andwering the two month old question- "Who killed Evelyn Miller?"

A grand jury will listen to testimony presented by the prosecution. Nobody except the jury knows who is the target of the investigation. In the end it's up to that grand jury to decide if there is enough evidence.

This is great news. Let's hope it's only the beginning. The video report is worth a look.

Ping. Hopefully, this means an arrest is forthcoming.

Given the events of the past couple weeks and the content of the video report, I guess if one had to speculate about whom they're looking to indict, it's Noel Miller and/or Casey Frederiksen.

Just a hunch, of course.

Thanks for the ping!!!

I have always been suspicious of the mother actually.

Ever since I saw her rambling strange interview she gave the news people where she went into odd detail about what she did that night (getting gas etc) - it was all too inappropriate in my opinion for a woman who's precious baby was "missing" at that point.

Almost like she was trying to tell her STORY to be convincing.
