Why would she do this?

That's what I want to know.

First, she is incompetent and a buffoon. Second, she didn't want to create an incentive for anyone to stay at the Superdome or Convention Center (she wanted to starve them out and force them to leave), not anticipating that the levees would break and they would not be able to get out.

Major Garrett said the Red Cross was told they didn't want to attract more people to the stadium.

You need to go to Fox and watch the interview. It'll knock your socks off.

"Why would she do this?"

To assert that she is in charge. Since this began she has rejected solutions other than hers: the Mayor's, Bush's, the Red Cross and others. This seems to be the biggest issue for her in all of this--her authority.

"Why would she do this?"

John and Ken might use the term "thinning the herd."
They might.

Not me.

While I too would probably say that Blanco and the mayor were probably to blame for most things and maybe some lack of federal management, I am just tired of all the politicing of everybody. It was a tragedy that we all need to learn from. There have been some good things, there have been some bad things. Let's learn from it all and prepare for it. Let's focus on what we need to do to deal with the current situation rather then armchair quarterbacking. Hindsight is always 100%.

It seems anytime something happens, then it degenerates into a bunch of "love-spats."

Why would she do this?

Because she didn't want the people to stay. She wanted them to evacuate dontchano? That's why they were dumped in the Superdome with no way out. It all makes sense, reasonable people can see it; just keep thinkin about it and you'll see it. The Dems understand it.
