It's pretty damn funny that it seems to be relatively OK for leftists to use the same language

Is it? I've spent the last few days, beating them up on this forum for using that kind of language. Have you? I don't think it's "OK" for anybody to be using that kind of language.

Let me, or someone else here, turn the tables ever so slightly, and there's so much hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth from everyone under the sun.

Your complaint would have more credibility if you hadn't been conspicuous by your absence from the threads about Jesse Jackson, Kanye West, et al.

Personally, I don't think race had anything to do with what happened there.

Wow! I agree with that. Is negligent homicide a capital crime, though? (I honestly don't know, IANAL. And I don't live in Louisiana.)

Finally, I pinged you to that last post as a courtesy; it was primarly a reply to the other two.

Another excellent summary:

The party that wants to blame everyone else, sue everyone else, and investigate everyone else never hesitates to invoke a gag order to protect their own sorry butts.

Of course they push the gag order after they have poisoned the well waters of public opinion with days of lies, spin and their mantras re their side of the story.

Her actions are inexplicable. Is it her hatred for GW Bush was so much that she was willing to have people die so she could blame the deaths on the administration? That's pure evil.

I don't understand why they had people waiting for HOURS to get into the Superdome when they could have used that time to open up the southbound highway lanes and put those people in school buses to get away from the storm.

Let's not forget they used the Superdome twice before and conditions deteriorated rapidly both times. They knew EXACTLY what would happen.

How nice of you to put a gag order on this thread.

I'm sure the liberals will respond in kind.

and I meant to add--the fact that they knew what would happen in the Superdome is very chilling in light of the fact that Blanco refused to have Red cross supplies on hand.

Be willing to go for the win or ace if survivorship is guaranteed

In all candor, I am a better tennis player than George. But in almost all the close games I have played against him in doubles, he has been the victor. The reason is that when it gets to the wire, George invariably goes for the lines on his ground strokes, attempts an ace on his second serve and rushes to the net behind his first or second serve. He knows that fortune favors the brave. If he has a chance to make a killing in a market, he is not afraid to put an important proportion of his chips into it.

The amount of money he invested in speculation that the British pound would be devalued in 1992 represented a rather staggering proportion of his assets at the time. (I am relying on published accounts on this, as opposed to any knowledge I might have gained.) The result was fame and fortune.

The willingness to stay on the offense in life-threatening circumstances is a great trait to have. Western novelist Louis L’Amour’s heroes, when threatened with danger, immediately go on the offensive.

that sentence in my last post should really be switched around. :) Let me rephrase:

That Blanco refused to have supplies in the Superdome is very chilling in light of the fact that they had disastrous results--twice before--when they used the place as a hurricane shelter.

There. That's better. :)

Ok, put on your tin foil hats and consider this possibility.

Is it possible that Blanco was contacted by her Democrap higher uppers and told specifically to make sure to hold back the Red Cross and other relief orgs so that the lamestream media could go on the offensive against the GOP leadership?
I mean, that isn't too far a stretch...is it?

You know, telling everyone what they can or can't say on this thread, that's what I'm talking about.

That's a gag order from you.

It's already been suggested that the democrats may be engineering the biggest land grab since the Louisana purchase in New Orleans, but I suppose you don't want that discussed either.

Then this makes me totally, over the top, mhking. -- The incompetence is so overwhelmingly obscene, I have worked hard all week long to keep certain questions I have at bay.

It's such overwhelming incompetence by NOLA officials. It is so starkly bizarre, Occam's razor, keeps popping into the backbrain of my own mind.

Is this "incompetence" or something else?

The "anything for politics, anything for a win" strategies, rhetoricisms of the left -- keep rebounding in backbrain in re the Katrina Disaster.

I pray it isn't so. I pray it is mere incompetence, corruption, et al, in re NOLA officials and their allied Dem buddies.

I'm thinking the Mayor is gonna turn on her real soon

The mayor turned on her days ago. Right after it became clear that turning on Bush wouldn't work. The mayor endorsed the governors opponent in the last election. They didn't like each other from the start.

If you have actual evidence, fire away!

If you don't have any, you just make yourself (and those around you) look like idiots.

You'd be surprised about how many threads about Jackson, West and everyone else I've been on in the past week.

I've been going after more than my share of people this week -- far more than I ever care to. I don't envy the Mods' job here, not one bit.
