SNOWBALL STILL MISSING

Snowball, the little dog who was taken away from a traumatized little boy getting on a bus being evacuated from NOLA is still missing. They thought yesterday that he had been positively identified, but now he is not safe. Another Freeper spoke of pets being put in the stairwell and dying and assumed that Snowball was gone. Please pray that this isn't so and that he is found and reunited with his little boy.

I heard on the radio today (KMJ, Fresno) that the dog had been found, but now no one knows where the little boy has gone.

Anyone confirming out there?

Bummer, what about the cop who took Snowball?
With all the publicity I can't believe he doesn't know unless of course he's in Las Vegas!

Well, I brought an email to FR that said he had been identified.

Apparently not.

I am watching the military evacuating people and dogs all over New Orleans. Big dogs, too.

And people were dragging garbage bags full of stuff onto the buses.

But a little boy couldn't bring the love of his life.

This fat-ass cop should be horsewhipped.

I had heard that they had found Snowball as well but could not find the child. At any rate prayers for them both that they will find one another again.:)

From another article;
Many of the animals - dogs, cats, ferrets and birds - that police collected at the Superdome were herded into a stairwell until the human evacuation was complete. Of the 50 animals rescued from the Superdome, not all of them survived.

So if these animals were placed in a stairwell then someone should know if Snowball was amoung those rescued or I even hate to say this deceased? It must be that he wasn't put in the stairwell because the rescuer would certainly be aware of the story and by now reported if Snowball was one that reached in time or not

Now, I may be going out on a limb here, but maybe, just maybe, in the terrible chaos that engulfed the Superdome (hunger,thirst,murder,rape, etc.) that people both put the pets in, and later removed them, without spending too much time worrying about whose pet was whose.
