Be fair...the Mayor did tell the people to bring their own food and water. ...for three days!
Actually, it was FIVE DAYS.
Did he also tell them to bring their own law enforcement and porta-pots?
Yeah and it was before the 1st of the month too.... I'm sure the fridge was low on food to begin with.
That's true and about the only reasonable thing he's done. BUT . . . since those poor souls were stuck there the gov had an obligation to allow the necessities to be brought in. But she didn't, and then she's claiming the Administration did not do enough.
Don't forget the lawn chairs. Just like a tailgate party, right?
You're right, let's give credit where it's due.

That's laughable. (I know you're being sarcastic)
If I, as an evacuee, did not have three days worth of food & water stored up at home and did not have a vehicle to get said food & water, how the heck was I going to bring it to the stadium to take care of myself within one day's time?
The Governor should be impeached. I would say recall the mayor of New Orleans...but there's no city to recall him from.
The mayor & governor had no concept of how destitute the people were.
***Be fair...the Mayor did tell the people to bring their own food and water. ...for three days!***
If you happen to be frail old lady, or a man on crutches, or a child, the only amount of water you could carry would be a half gallon, at MOST. That's only eight glasses. And you do need some for washing your hands, etc. besides drinking lots of it in the outrageous heat.
-OR- wade in 2ft deep (at least) water all the way to Baton Rouge...
Be fair? What's fair about Blanco putting all of this off on Bush? Blanco deserves whats coming to her IMHO.
