Major Garret this morning on Fox News talked about this, he verified the story by calling the Red Cross.

Still and all though it will be the presidents fault.

On Hannity he said he's sitting down with the president of the Red Cross today to verify answers and to try to get a paper trail.

As it relates to Lt Col Bill Cowen's report of a National Guard gag order, I posted this in the only gag order thread I could find:

That is a press release from the governor's office for a media event at 2PM Central today with a "what" line of "The National Guard Response to Hurricane Katrina, Timeline"

Has anyone heard anything from that press conference?
