What is she thinking?
Someone had better make her get her POMPOUS HEARTLESS ARSE down into the areas that need to be fully evacuated and FORCE her to spend a few days there..without fancy food, digs or water. No cocktails, no advisers (like james witt) and no body guards. Just rats, snakes, steaming toxic water and a simple house that is full of mold.
Just the gov....proving to the world that NO is a safe place to live.
IF ever there were a racist, and I mean this, I believe it is this woman. She above all, should understand the heartbreak of having to leave your home because the surrounding environment is not safe and will not sustain a normal business trade that all families need to depend upon to live.
She allowed the ignorance to flourish, all liberals see this as a benefit, easier to dupe and keep their voting block intact.
Now she needs to ORDER those who cannot understand exactly why they have to leave, HAVE TO LEAVE and she needs to do it in person.
She wants the feds and other organizations to HAND DELIVER NECESSITIES to these people, themselves having to traverse through environmental pollution that is dangerous, SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE THINKS SHE WILL LOOK GOOD IF SHE DOES NOT FORCE PEOPLE TO LEAVE THEIR HOMSE? Taking up not only these resources for a use that could have been prevented....but allowing these people to live in risky, health destroying enirons? And was about the MONEY this will cost to the taxpayers...money that could be used to reestablish and HELP these people begin a new life?
She is short sighted.
She is selfish.
And she is a woman who's decision making has CAUSED DEATH.
OK, glad that i'm not the only one that thinks this woman has to much water on the brain.
This will force the media to pay attention to who is the real roadblock here, and who had the authority last week and didn't act.
I wonder if the mayor has authority over the city police but he was trying to get the state National Guard to help (after Honore balked and told him he (Honore) did not have the authority to order his troops to mount a forced evacuation without the governor's authorization).
It's a pi$$ing match between state and local government.
Even if 95% of the buildings are unsafe, does that mean that people who live in the other 5% should be forced to leave, if they have adequate food, water, and generator-fuel supplies to last until utilities can be restored? Not everyplace is flooded, after all, and I think the people who don't have the means to stay behind safely have already tried to leave.
