what would be the reason to force the residents out that aren't in sewer water?

So far as I read, there is no power or fresh water. By staying they are exposing themselves to disease from the polluted water that is there, even if it's not on their street.

Power has been reestablished in some of the areas already.

For those in the big pond...they will be getting sick within the next 3 to 4 weeks. There is no way to avoid that. The AF will spray, but you have hundreds of bodies out there. And the police can't keep coming out to your house to deliver food or water. Plus the looting folks...have to be escorted from the city.

I can see NO cops having to taser at least 500 people to get them out of the city. It'll be great to have a CNN camera guy along and watch each dopehead get zapped...and dragged onto a boat. And the lawsuits will just grow day by day. I can see this turning in a big joke.

Saw a reporter walk into a house last night in the 'dry' French Quarter and he was shocked when the person he was with flipped a switch and the lights came on...

Power is there...They need to get power company people back to work and start hooking this stuff up...
