"I could not have a lower opinion of the authorities, from the police officers on the street right up to George Bush," he said.""
This is Bush's fault as well????

Sounds like bullpuckey to me. Were they forced to eat the bodies of the dead too?

I see nothing wrong with this as they were just using the Clinton technique to which he sucessfully used when hiring female interns.

"The account was just another example of the horror stories emerging from the hurricane disaster zone."I'm not quite sure I go along with someone asking you to show your breasts counting as a *quote* "horror" story.

It is when they deny you rescue.

Steel yourselves to the fact that the media will interview only Bush-haters and America-haters during the next couple years of non-stop hurricane victim tales.
Sky News, joining the chorus here, is some kind of "sister affiliate" of Fox Cable Network.

That is terribly wrong.
(Didn't the rescuers know that they were supposed to bring Mardi Gras beads to throw to the women?)

Like they say, when in Soddom & (oops) New orleans do as the Orleaners do.

Sounds like bullpuckey to me.Other news reports confirm that the NOPD conducted themselves far less professionally than a troop of Boy Scouts throughout the entire disaster.
And my personal encounters with the NOPD long before Katrina reinforce my impression of the NOPD as incompetent, classless idiots.
The Times-Picayune was saying that perhaps more than 40% of the NOPD just walked off the job.

I know. But it is being lumped in with all of the other "horror stories." A nitpicky point for sure, but it doesn't rank up there with murder and starvation and eating corpses.

"At one point, there were a load of girls on the roof of the hotel saying 'Can you help us?' and the policemen said 'Show us what you've got' and made signs for them to lift their T-shirts," he told the Liverpool Evening Echo. Is it possible the officer was asking the girls to lift their shirts high enough to show they were unarmed? It's not inconceivable that he'd been shot at already and was just being cautious. When they refused to cooperate, he left. Just a thought.
I do know that the locals near Camp Gruber here in Oklahoma have begun referring to the National Guard installation as Camp Groper, noting the rude behavior exhibited by some of the evacuees who've been brought here. It's been reported on local radio station KFAQ that unwanted sexual advances have been made toward several female volunteers who tried to help. Local shop owners who have opened their doors to refugees with Red Cross funds to spend, report a drastic rise in shoplifting.
I'm not saying that this is indicative of all refugees, but we seem to have welcomed an evil element into our communities.
