I make no bones about being a lover of liberty and supporting gay marriage, as long as religious institutions aren't forced to perform or recognize them, it is a win-win situation. I care about Americans, and race, religion, income, sexual orientation etc, mean nothing to me. As long as one does not initiate force or transgression against another citizen, I could note care any less what they do or how they live.

You obviously don't have children, or if you do, you don't mind that they're being fed an agenda that will NOT be beneficial to their long-term well being.

"I make no bones about being a lover of liberty and supportinig gay marriage,..."

I suppose you are also a 'lover' of NAMBLA, bestiality, adultery, and other various sexual unions that are contrary to what is normally accepted in society.
Don't kid yourself. A society that turns its back on 'right and wrong' and builds its foundation on shifting sands will not stand.

You've bought into the big lie that homosexuality is a characteristic on par with race and religion, and that promoting special rights for homosexuals is a fight for civil rights. That is too bad, because it means that the incessant propaganda campaign of the leftists has been far too successful.

The fact is that homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder only 3 decades ago, and was not removed from that list due to any scientific research, but purely becasue of political pressure. Now that behavior has gone from being a mental disorder to being a celebrated behavior that grants its practitioner special protections under the law that non-disordered citizens don't have. For instance, a white male has no special protection under the law against discrimination in employment, housing, etc., but if he consents to allowing another man to engage in anal penetration, or is he engages in fellatio, he suddenly can call upon the full power of the government and its armed agents to intervene on his behalf at the mere hint of unfavorable action. If you believe that this is some form of liberty, or civil rights, then you are severely misguided.

Should FReepers take this to mean that you would have no problem with accepting polygamous marriage if it were made legal?
