"Then, I suggest they bring it up for another vote of the people of our state, OK?"

That's fine with me. However that happens... you certainly don't need a NC resident's approval. We just got a lottery here which was a very controvertial issue that never went to a referendum. Might not have passed if it did.

>>They are being used as a tool by the marxist machine carrying out Antonio Gramsci's...

Yep. And we are counting on a veto from a governor who used to publicly acknowldge Vladimir Lenin as one of his heros and keep a bust of his image in his office alongside that of JFK.

I'm not holding my breath. We better start signing petitions now.

Which source was this from? I've read about Harry Hay and his Mattachine Society. Hay was a member of the Communist Party, one-time lover of Will Geer (of Walton's fame), defender of NAMBLA's rights, etc. After the Mattachine ejected him, he founded the Radical Faeries.

"Times can change? What the hell has changed since the election?"

Hey, calm down... I said I didn't know when the vote took place. And yes, believe it or not, time can change people's views. That is what you're worried about isn't it???

"For a clear understanding of the homosexual movement and it's foundations..."

Ok, homosexuals are just dupes in a marxist conspiracy to tear down the family and our country? I suppose empowering women with the vote is another grenade in the marxist arsenal. Perhaps WWII was just a marxist device to force our women into factories so that, while supporting the war effort, they would also realize that they could make their own way. Then after the war, when their husband demanded dinner on the table then second he got home from work, they would realize they didn't need to take his crap anymore. They could just walk away from the demanding and demeaning SOB. Was that in the marxist plan too??? Man, they were smart!

Your children must be extremely young.

On most of today's college campuses and especially on the best ones, homosexuality and lesbianism has been pushed and pushed and PUSHED down the throats of kids for decades, now. Girls are told that they really aren't "WOMEN", unless they've had at least two to three lesbian "love" ( SEX ) affairs prior to a heterosexual marriage. And yes, many, sadly, fall prey to this garbage. They are MADE into, not BORN sexual deviates.

You want tolerance for something which deserves not to be tolerated...same sex marriages.

Well they are doing it the right way.

Well, not really... they're doing it the California way. The bill originated in the Assembly, and the Assembly turned it down. So, they took a bill the Assembly had approved that had nothing to do with same-sex marriage, removed all the text, and replaced it with this language, then passed it in the Senate and sent it back to the Assembly for concurrence. It's called a "gut and amend", and it's not all that common in the rest of the country.

"Well! Thank you!"

You're welcome. I feel like I'm saying the wrong things in here but it's just my opinion on the situation.

Save your homsexual activism for DU -you want to be a bleeding heart for depraved sexual acrobatics and call it 'love' -that is your problem; however, FR is not the place to debate the liberal delusion or espouse upon the morally relative talking points...

Ahem!

This is also AFTER WE THE PEOPLE voted against same sex (gag) marriage, overwhelmingly. Do NOT forget that little tidbit.

I care about Americans, and race, religion, income, sexual orientation etc, mean nothing to me.

You've bought into the big lie that homosexuality is a characteristic on par with race and religion, and that promoting special rights for homosexuals is a fight for civil rights. That is too bad, because it means that the incessant propaganda campaign of the leftists has been far too successful.

The fact is that homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder only 3 decades ago, and was not removed from that list due to any scientific research, but purely becasue of political pressure. Now that behavior has gone from being a mental disorder to being a celebrated behavior that grants its practitioner special protections under the law that non-disordered citizens don't have. For instance, a white male has no special protection under the law against discrimination in employment, housing, etc., but if he consents to allowing another man to engage in anal penetration, or is he engages in fellatio, he suddenly can call upon the full power of the government and its armed agents to intervene on his behalf at the mere hint of unfavorable action. If you believe that this is some form of liberty, or civil rights, then you are severely misguided.

Homosexuals are being used as a tool by the radical left to destroy marriage and thus the family unit.
Once the family unit is destroyed the state can take more control of a society.

Couldn't agree more.

"Save your homsexual activism for DU -you want to be a bleeding heart for depraved sexual acrobatics and call it 'love' -that is your problem..."

Funny, I started commenting on how and/or why the representatives in CA would try to pass this bill. Somebody else turned it into a discussion about sex.
I've never been to the DU. I enjoy commenting on issues and debating on others if I disagree. If I'm not supposed to debate or disagree then please inform a moderator of my infractions. They won't even have to ban me... just ask me to leave. Until that happens I think I'll keep coming around. I am going to bed now though so you won't have to suffer me anymore this night. Also, you might want to check espouse in your dictionary. I don't think you said what you wanted to say in that last sentence...

ps. If I engage in depraved sexual acrobatics with my wife, does that mean I have to stop loving her? Please let me know.

If this sort of thing happened in Montana, I am convinced there'd be a bunch of people ready to converge on Helena and burn the malfeasant blood suckers out.

I make no bones about being a lover of liberty and supporting gay marriage, as long as religious institutions aren't forced to perform or recognize them, it is a win-win situation. I care about Americans, and race, religion, income, sexual orientation etc, mean nothing to me. As long as one does not initiate force or transgression against another citizen, I could note care any less what they do or how they live.

Should FReepers take this to mean that you would have no problem with accepting polygamous marriage if it were made legal?
