NOPD was so corrupt, it was nearly disbanded once with the National Guard set to take over.
Don't know why they stopped that plan, however.
It's always horrible to read about public service people whom we should be able to trust abusing their power and committing crimes. All the more horrible during a time of crisis. But let's review - Mayor and Gov not taking action, thousands of lives lost, blaming others for their failures, nanny state mentality. Little surprise then that the NOPD is so seemingly corrupt, they are following their leadership in misusing power, each in their own way.
