President Bush had a very busy day today, meeting with Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings and First Lady Laura Bush, to discuss the educational needs of children displaced by Hurricane Katrina and how states might be able to absorb the cost of the large numbers of new students. He also met with the Cabinet to discuss the recovery efforts following the hurricane, and reuniting family members with each other, healthcare provision and finances.
At noon, the President met with representatives from national voluntary organizations to discuss how best to help the Americans who are evacuees from the hurricane. He pledged a full investigation into the response to the hurricane.
The President and First Lady also paid their respects to the late Chief Justice of the United States, William Rehnquist, spending a few moments bowing their heads at his casket.
Continue to pray for the President and the people in the ravaged Gulf Coast region, and enjoy this island of refuge from the blind attacks against our GOOD President on the Daily Dose!
There is now a lynch mob out to get President Bush..........the political left.
But, Deb.........they WILL NOT SUCCEED!
God bless and protect our Godly President from the slander and assault of evil ones. Silence them, O LORD, we pray. We pray for victory over this new attack, that it might fall in defeat, and the President arise unscathed from these lies about him.
There is a thread up re. former mayor Ed Koch supporting
the Prez.
We supported a young boy in Ethiopia for many years through WV. Once we gave him an extra birthday gift, and he bought a cow with it, and they sent us a picture of him with his new cow. :)
LOL, Now he has Senator Landrieu's brother. (The LT. Governor of LA) on live and allowing him spin this as if the locals did what they were supposed to :-)
I meant to ping you to Post #138
I stopped watching Joe last Friday...he spent almost the whole hour bashing Bush one way or the other...he's gone over to the dark side for sure and I will never watch him again.
I'm gonna send him an email :-)
Does Mary's brother want to punch Bush too?
Amen, Ohio, amen! God protect him and protect us all from the lies that are swirling about our heads! Help him--and help us--to stay strong, steadfast and sure!
I don't either, Citizen, and I believe it has made a positive difference in this country.
He has been encouraging volunteering and treating a neighbor the way you'd like to be treated yourself from Day 1 of his presidency.
He has been the perfect man to lead us through all the struggles we've been through. God certainly knows what He's doing, doesn't He? :)
In a way.... I wish she would have tried to punch him when GWB and Laura were in Louisiana yesterday, Laura would have beaten her like a rented Mule :-)
LOL, I wrote post #191 before you posted yours :-) GMTA

"Indeed he was last night he started and then went off in the wrong direction wonder if he had a rethink after watching a recording of last night."
Wonder if he had time to do some more quality research (e.g., read FR) and/or if Brit took him to the woodshed after last night's show ;-)
***"An Angel still rides in the whirlwind and directs this storm"***
I have to repeat that every so often to myself, Mike.
A freeper the other day sent him an e-mail(was posted on the Katrina thread) he sent a real nasty reply....I wish I could find it, but it is buried somewhere in the 10 threads..
Two yrs. ago when we had the big fires and thousands of
homes were lost many in the 1 million + range.
The local Red Cross was into corruption mode with the money.
If you remember Bill O'Reilly for several weeks was
exposing our local Red Cross. The head had to take a hike.
The new head is a woman and ret. Admiral. She has been
cleaning it up, doing good work but I still would
rather give to Sal. Army.
