Someone on Air America said people aren't shooting at helicopters--rather they're shooting in the air to attract attention so they might be rescued! Oh brother. That ranks right up there with not evacuating so you can stay home and guard your stuff.

If this was at night, the flash of the barrel would be expected to be visible. We'll see. No doubt a lot of this activity was angry pot shots, and there wouldn't be any possible excuse this side of insanity for shooting from a place like the Superdome.

If someone's shooting at a military helicopter that's on rescue duty, there needs to be a summary execution.
I thought that martial law was declared down there.
