Yes - actually I thought that was his better role and better acting job.

I have to admit that I remember him. And Dobie and Thalia, too. Never missed a show.

Anybody remember Maynard G. Krebbs? Never cared much for the Gilligan gig but loved Maynard. A passing noted with sadness.

I loved Maynard...a wonderful character.

I remember Maynard G. Krebs.
And Dobie Gillis.
And I also remember the plain-looking girl who was always trying to get Dobie to notice her.
I understand she is a lesbian....and is (or was) a member of the California legislature.

"WORK????".........RIP Maynard and Gilligan.

Remember him? When I was a kid he was the role model that replaced Buggs Bunny. (Luckily, I somehow ended up with a subscription to National Review and found Chairman Bill to get me through the next phase of lifes progression).

Anybody remember Maynard G. Krebbs?Certainly do. If I recall, the 'G' stood for "Walter".

I remember Maynard-the first beatnik on TV. This was on the Dobie Gillis show. Remember Dobie's father "I was in the big one-WWII!" Warren Beaty was in this show-he was the rich arrogant boyfriend of Thalia (Tuesday Weld).
