5 Percent of D.C. Homes Have Loaded or Unlocked Guns Updated: Tuesday, Sep. 6, 2005 - 11:48 AM
WASHINGTON (AP) - The District may have a high number of gun-related crimes, but according to a new report it has the lowest number of homes with loaded and unlocked guns. A study published in the journal Pediatrics finds that only 5 percent of D.C. homes keep such guns around. Wyoming had the highest number. Thirty-three percent of that state's adults said they kept firearms in or around their homes unlocked and loaded.
D.C.'s low numbers are attributed to its long-standing bans on handguns and semiautomatic weapons.
The report finds overall 1.7 million U.S. children live in homes that have loaded and unlocked guns.

Shoot! I NEED one of those! :)
I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of a load firearm in my house.
:)
I was just repeating what the police told me after the third time I was burglarized. I moved to Virginia.
I don't have a single loaded firearm in my house. Not one.
