A British man who kept a detailed diary on his lawn mowing for the past 20 years, has had his information included in a study on global warming.
Seventy-seven-year-old David Grisenthwaite's painstaking records on his lawn cutting were included as part of a study on global warming by the Royal Meteorological Society, the Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.
Grass is growing for one month longer than it did 20 years ago, due to climate changes, according to the study.
I didn't see it as being anything significant, but the data was passed on to the Royal Meteorological Society and they graphed it all up in their journal and found that it showed that global warming was making the grass grow for a month longer than it was back then, said Grisenthwaite.
I'm a creature of habit. I also note down every time I shred garden waste and am a great enthusiast of bus timetables.

Hey, wouldn't Martha Stewart say this extended growing season should be considered a "good thing." How about British farmers, anyone ask them?
Personally surprised they are not blaming this on Bush!

Or maybe 20-year-old grass is heartier...? But I guess so-called "studies" can say whatever you want them to say...

Grass grows best in cool wet weather.

Oh, yeah? A few bottles of "Liquid Edger" will take care of that.

But you don't understand. They ONLY take input from people who give data which supports thier crack pot theories about global warming! :-)
This guy has entirely TOO much time on his hands.

And the connection to human activity is...
The ice age ended. Did we do that too? Of course not, and nobody is certain that the earth is warming number one, or that humans have any affect on all this.

I thought grass growing, like most crops, was more dependent on sunlight than temperature. Maybe his grass got confused by daylight savings time rather than "global warming."

I'm not worried about the grass. I'm worried about my man-eating plants having an extra month of nice weather to grow.

I also note down every time I shred garden waste and am a great enthusiast of bus timetables. Now that's just downright creepy.

Well, twenty years ago, they were warning of second ice age because of the cooler temperatures.

As a paint room foreman I did exactly that and got paid for it.

This was just the landmark study that I was looking for.
Global Warming is real. I'm convinced now...
