Hasn't it been known from the beginning that Pres. Bush and the Hurricane Center at NOAA, had to call the Governor and the Mayor and DEMAND they order an evacuation???
Why then is O'Reilly saying that the Governor had to call Bush on Saturday to get help in ordering help????
I don't think I have read/heard anywhere that the Gov. had to tell Bush to help!
That's bull, the National Hurricane Director (of whom recently was half-reported by media bias), said he called Nagin and Blanco... guess he felt they weren't taking it serious enough (my perception), so he called the White House. Bush called Nagin once and Blanco twice and was told they had it under control. This was not Sunday, as Rush said, it was Saturday... cause Nagin slept on it. That's why Bush went on TV on the 28th on his own and asked people to evacuate and declared a state of emergency for two of the states. That does not automatically put it in federal control as has been bandied about... the gov. has to request it. I know personally that Blanco had the document with the date of Sept. 2nd or 3rd (because we lost our minds over it), all of a sudden it's off her site and a pdf is made available for the 28th. When we know she didn't want the feds taking over. We have on this site most of the goods that have disappeared.
