New Orleans told "you'll be on your own"

Okay 2000. Still considering the roads at the time (I'm sure such 'compassionate' conservatives' remember the loggerjam going north as early as two days before the hurricane) the regular 2 hour one way trip to Baton Rouge would have taken at least 3-4 times that long meaning they may have been able to make one round trip. Of course considering that both sides of the road in hurricane evacuations run one way (at least they do here in NC), I'm sure the 'compassionates' will also get back to us how the 2000 buses were going to get back to NO to pick up the rest.

Of course this is based on an orderly evacuation. And if any of you think that this would have been even close to orderly, based on the evidence of human interaction these past few days in NO, I would love to hear your argument. Especially considering that those being evacuated would be wary of being in the 'second' group to go, as anyone would
