This is irrelevant when Bush needs to be blamed. It makes me physically ill. But they are racial shysters so it's to be expected.

Interesting find.

I wish we could all forget the finger pointing for now and just concentrate on helping the victims. But it looks to me like the "blame Bush" crowd got the bandwagon rolling, so they will have to accept the fact that people will respond.

The mayor and governor indeed look terribly weak in the face of all this. I'm sure things could have been done better on the federal level also.

I wish we could just fix the problems and point fingers later. But we both know people won't let that happen . . .

It does not matter one single bit to the leftist scum in the media that EVERYONE, including themselves, knows that it takes the feds a few days to mobilize fully.

This is going to backfire on the worthless, treasonous dirtbags.

Who in their right mind would name their newspaper PICAYUNE.
What's their slogan? "All the picayune sh*t thats not fit to print".

"...Mayor Ray Nagin, local Red Cross Executive Director Kay Wilkins and City Council President Oliver Thomas drive home the word that the city does not have the resources to move out of harm's way an estimated 134,000 people without transportation."

500-700 buses, 50 people on each bus. 25,000-35,000 evacuated leaving 100,000 behind. I'm sure you would be happy to tell us who were going to go first and explain the ensuing riots that would have occurred at the pickup location

Amazing isn't it? Next will be the story about how, once he found it was going to hit N.O. he and his "oil rich friends" had the storm seeded so it would be stronger.

You have to have help to be this stupid - no one is that dumb on their own.
I suppose if Kerry had won, he would have single handedly dissipated the storm.

Sorry for the rant but the "leaders" in New Orleans are way off base with this one.

Seems to me anybody who has time for blaming and fingerpointing is not spending enough time working and/or trying to help the victims.

Anybody who has time to worry about whether "refugee" is the proper term isn't carrying his share of the load either.

Yeah, I guess it's impossible for each bus to make multiple trips. Are they busing them to Alaska?

Somebody said they don't like to guess the number but it's going to be more than Afghanistan, Iraq, and 9-11 all rolled up into one. I think that's probably true by a factor of 3-4.

I'm reminded of a story Judge Bork told about running into Kennedy after being slimed and savaged and Kennedy saying "nothing personal."

Total Community Action

How Orwellian. Isn't this exactly what govt. social programs are...tether people to the state for generations and then when it suits the bureaucrats...scatter them to the four winds.

THEY HAD NO PLAN.

'Bring blankets and food to the SuperDome' doesn't count as a "plan".
