I've been away for several years, lurking on and off.

Please try another few years away. This is loony, the mirror image of the DU loons who think Rove is an evil genius.

BTW!

I believe the photo is 'reversed', but looking at it closely you will notice that the 'inbound' lanes,of the overpass, are NOT being used.

Not reversed, it appears the vehicles are going from right to left, coming down off the overpass.

The 'properties' of the photo (right-click on photo and select 'Properties') show its name and it reveals a date of August 28 - just hours before Katrina hit!

I'm sorry, as another freeper once said, this is pure tin-foil hattery.

No doubt Blanco & Nagin have seized on Bush, FEMA, etc. to obscure their own criminal negligence; no doubt if a single sparrow falls from a tree the media says: It's Bush's fault.

But I no more believe that Blanco and Nagin decided to "sacrifice" the people of their city and state to score points against Bush than I believe that things went badly because"Bush doesn't care about black people"

I have to say I don't believe the Dems would do it either.

Not because "even they wouldn't do such a thing" - actually I rather think they would - but because it would be obvious even to them that it just wouldn't work. Even as we speak the CAT 5 MSM hurricane is breaking up on the wetlands of truth, leaving Bush unharmed.

No, this was "just" Democrat corruption and incompetence -these are evil enough, we don't have to gild the lily.

If it is true that they weren't, then Damn, she is more toast than she already is.

If what is true? That the buses were used and its still as bad as it is --OR-- she was told the buses were used by the mayor and they weren't --OR-- that she lied about the mayor lying that the buses were being used. What a mess!!! Regardless, we've all been watching this for over a week now and we did not see last Friday and Saturday the videos of the buses carrying the poor out of the inner city. CNN would have been there singing trail songs and holding hands. It never happened. (Good find, btw, thanks for posting it.)

You insult me greatly, sir, far more than you know, to compare me with those heathens.

It would be loony to suggest that the libs would intentionally and arbitrarily destroy a city just to get Bush. But this isn't what happened here. What happened here is that they realized one of their cities was in the cross-hairs of a Cat 5 hurricane, and that no matter what, the event was going to be disastrous. So they were faced with two choices:

1) Do everything possible before and after the storm hit to make the event less disastrous;

2) Do nothing at all before and after the storm so that the event would be as disastrous as possible, in order to have more things to blame Bush with when they blamed him.

They chose the latter course, for obvious reasons.

If you can't see the difference between deliberately destroying a city -- by setting off bombs, for example -- and not reacting at all to an unavoidable natural disaster in order to create the opportunity to slander and falsely accuse the President, then I can't help you.

I am constantly amazed by how so many people on our side refuse to see the true nature of our enemy, and discount everything the enemy does to stupidity. To me, this indicates they are not taking the enemy as seriously as they should be.

Do you really think that libs are stupid instead of evil? Do you really think, for example, that they are well-intentioned but too stupid to recognize the actual results of welfare? They know damn well what welfare does, and that's why they use it. They need a steady supply of dumbed-down people with no initiative, people stripped of their ability to reason and process facts, people whose emotional buttons can be pushed on demand with demagoguery whenever needed. It's right out of Marx's playbook.

The word "stupid" can be used to describe the VICTIMS of the libs, the people the libs use for their own purposes, the people the libs had no trouble bussing to the polls last November to vote Kerry/Edwards but weren't willing to bus out of the path of Katrina. And it isn't the fault of those victims that they're stupid. The libs have made them that way, consciously and deliberately, for their own purposes. The stupidity of the victims needs to be corrected with education. The evil of those who kept them down deserves eternal damnation.

The liberal mask of compassion is just that, a mask. It should fool absolutely no one who has eyes to see. The "unintentional" consequences of everything they say and do are quite intentional. They are the biggest fraud and sham on the face of the earth; they are the exact opposite of what they pretend to be. They are wolves in sheep's clothing, and demons in the guise of angels.
