. . .
Kofi's right, as much as some people hate to admit it.
Actually, Kofi is confused, as usual. With Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, the government gave aid and protection to terrorists. When Saddam Hussein was in power, he gave aid and protection to terrorists. The situation in Iraq now is completely different. Syria and Iran are currently giving aid and protection to terrorists, however the Iraqi government is not. Clearly Kofi longs for the days when Saddam Hussein was in control, and willfully turns a blind eye to the interference from Syria and Iran, but no intelligent person should...
Right, this is it exactly. No terrorist could ever think of striking anywhere but in Iraq, or possibly Afghanistan; they're too stupid for that. This is cutting-edge thinking! Keep it up!
I'm working on a Jimmy (Carter) filter too, but it's a little harder to get right. My digestive system keeps interrupting.
The cutting edge thinking is that there is no better place to kill and annihilate more terrorists than in Iraq or in Afghanistan. You need to get less emotional my British friend who is living in Germany.
anybody know what happened to Michael Yon? Did he leave Iraq?
Maybe we didn't destroy the bridges, because we might want to quickly repair and use them?
sounds from the scene:....what is that over head....duck...KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Don't forget the "pottery barn" rule ...
If we blow something up ... US taxpayers will pay to rebuild it.
If terrorists blow something up ... US taxpayers will pay to rebuild it.
As a US taxpayer, I *like* smart munitions!
It may well be so that Iraq and Afghanistan are good places to kill terrorists. However, that's not to say they will ALL follow the USA's playbook. Surely it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that many of them are thinking up ways to hit America hard that doesn't involve going to Iraq or Afghanistan and engaging in largely futile and near-suicidal attacks on US troops. You shouldn't be underestimating your enemies like this.
>You need to get less emotional my British friend who is living in Germany.<
Me, emotional? I couldn't give a toss how it all turns out, though I admit an outcome with a stable, pro-US and non-Islamic government would be preferable. If not? Ah well, you lose some, you win some.
