Cindy’s Bus Tour Pals Leech Off Red Cross Katrina Effort
Sweetness & Light ^ | September 5, 2005 | N/A

Posted on 09/05/2005 3:27:35 PM PDT by Sam Hill

Veterans For Peace, the rabid hate-America group who's impeachment tour Cindy Sheehan glommed on to, has decided to try to milk the Katrina disaster for their own nefarious ends.

First they claim they are "supporting the Rd Cross with power and medical supplies. (Sure they are.)

Then the VFP list what they need to continue their propaganda campaign. And mind you, nothing but the best will do. ($3K for a monitor?):

Cindy Sheehan and friend pose in front of the VFP's Impeachment Tour bus

We have set up a permanent Camp Casey at the Pine View Middle School, 1115 West 28th Street, Covington, LA. We are supporting The Red Cross with power and medical supplies and kitchen service, food bank, and distribution and Internet communications and trained medical personnel.

You see, the Red Cross doesn't have computers or multi-media equipment of their own. No way.

I wonder if the Red Cross knows that these parasites at Veterans For [a] Peace [of the action] are using their name and bogus support to leech more money, fancy equipment and services for their America-hating ends?

How low can you go?

Meanwhile, on another page at the VFP site, a page relating to the Impeachment bus tour--and totally unrelated to any support of the Red Cross we find a strangely similar request:

Mobile Multi Media & Internet Access Bus

Here is the needs list for the bus!

(1) Satelite Mobile Internet Unit = $5,000

(1) Apple iMac G5 Computer 20" Monitor = $3,000
(1) 500 Gigabyte Firewire Harddrive = $500
(1) Canon XL2 Digital Video Camera = $4,500
(1) Digital Projector (3000 lunens) =$1000
(2) Apple iPods with recording mics = $600
(1) Canon Printer = $200
(40) Mini DV Tape = $200
(40) DVD Blanks = $200

=$15,000.00

Monthly Satelite Access Fee = $200 pr/mo

Website Hosting = $50 pr/mo

We are asking you to help us get the word out to the world that there are veterans who beleave we did not have the right to invade Iraq. We want to help them express how they feal when they come home. We want to let them know that we care! And since we are veterans of WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Afganistan and Iraq. We are trusted to present them in a respectfull light.

Donations for our traveling multi media equipment will keep our guest speakers and support staff press, sponsors, members, in touch through via email, web, blogs, and teleconferencing.

In order to insure our message get out the way we want it, we most maintain control of the message content as well as the context.

This page has nothing to do with Katrina victims relief. So it turns out VFP just wanted the equipment and were using their bogus claim of supporting the Red Cross to get it.

President Bush Remembers Halabja
Saturday, 15 March 2003
President's Radio Address (Remembering Halabja)
"This weekend marks a bitter anniversary for the people of Iraq.
Fifteen years ago, Saddam Hussein's regime ordered a chemical weapons attack on a village in Iraq called Halabja. With that single order, the regime killed thousands of Iraq's Kurdish citizens. Whole families died while trying to flee clouds of nerve and mustard agents descending from the sky. Many who managed to survive still suffer from cancer, blindness, respiratory diseases, miscarriages,
and severe birth defects among their children..."

They take a pretty dim view of this kind of shit.

Thought I better ping you, since as usual my post has been relegated to the blogger ghetto. So until Drudge picks it up, or WMD or Newsmax lift it and it gets posted as breaking news a dozen times, most people won't see it.

Too bad for Mother Sheehan the mods didn't start this sooner, or the people of FR and the rest of the world would have missed some of my earlier articles.

Funny, the original material my posts contained have now become part of the language here and elsewhere. Oh, well. Back to Caption That Pic and stories about Nude Swimsuit Models.

I'm a little tapped right now, but I'll donate 2 tin cans and a lot of string if they'll come by and pick them up.

I haven't flushed yet, if they're interested in making a collection.

"Cindy Sheehan"?

Who is this knob and why is her mug still being posted?

There are far more important things going on than her and her ANTI-AMERICA rant.

Things like flossing.....rotating tires......going to the "Stop-N-Rob" to get more beer.....

Ms Sheehan is IRRELEVANT.

You can go to this link for the Red Cross. It is their contact form. Alert them of this situation and express your opinion or question if they have approved this affiliation. I just did and copied much of this article in the "comment" section. I volunteered for the Red Cross and I would be surprised if they approve any politically motiviated association. There are many good people there who do not involve politics in the efforts of service to their fellow man. Many would be dismayed.

If the link does not work for you, here is the website:
