Dammam, Asharq Al-Awsat- Security sources believe that the individual killed in the first security clash in Prince Muhammad Bin-Fahd Street in Al-Dammam, east of Saudi Arabia, yesterday could be the No. 7 on the most recent list of the 36 wanted terrorist. the individual in question is believed to be 23 years old Muhammad Abd-al-Rahman al-Suwaylimi from Riyadh, adding that he was given tasks related to the internet since he was considered an expert in computer technology and the Internet in particular.
The sources noted that the cell of which the person believed to be Al-Suwaylimi was a member had been under surveillance for four days following the arrest of a suspect who had on his person a number of illegal CDs. He was questioned and the investigations and follow up led to the monitoring of a group of terrorists in the city of Dammam. They added that some members of the terrorist group arrived very recently from outside of Dammam.
The sources pointed out that several members of the group were connected with the arms caches that were discovered in Al-Kharj where they were hiding. The group fled the scene leaving behind them a number of explosives and bomb-making materials.
The No. 7 most wanted terror suspect was last seen in the town of Al-Kharj, 80 km south of Riyadh. The sources did not rule out the possibility that the group that was raided yesterday included other terrorists named in the list since some of them are from the same cell as that of Al-Suwaylimi, like 21 years old Ibrahim al-Mutayr, the No. 11 on the list who was born in Al-Zalfi, and Walid al-Radadi, the No. 12 from Medina. Both of them were last seen in Al-Kharj. It is believed that there is a link between the sleeping cell in Al-Kharj and 31 year old Zayd al-Samari, a resident of the city who is in hiding from the security forces.
In the same context, the official sources in the Saudi Interior Ministry did not identify the person killed in yesterday's clashes as they were continuing their investigations as Asharq Al-Awsat went to press.
