Sounds like Nagin et al are ASSuming that because the media had it all over the tube that FEMA was supposed to react.
NAGIN: "Why isn't the government helping the people in the convention center, where I sent them but neglected to tell anyone? Any idiot can see them on TV?"
Actually, I consider myself pretty clued in to news, and I didn't know they were there either.
Mr. Brown was probably right. I kept hearing about the Superdome and I knew people were there. It wasn't until late Thursday that I heard anything about the Convention Center. I'm thinking that lot of people just assumed that reporters were talking about the Superdome. I knew they were two different places, but I was confused because I had not known that people were in both places.
I don't get cable, only MSM. We were alarmed about lack of food/water/meds in the Superdome on Wednesday and outraged by Thursday. Tell me where in FEMA to donate my 19 in. TV. I don't think the Bush team planned on the utter failure at the local and state levels. "Fool me once..."
