Most of the public, including myself, don't realize all the efforts needed for evacuations. We just expected tanks, helicopters, planes, etc. to move in and scoop the people out as soon as the flooding began.
Think we've all seen too many movies...:)
Sure but what I do not get is when some say that FEMA is a or controlled by the state when FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.
