Remember this: Jamie Witt, the ex-FEMA head and current Blanco Dubois CYA agent, just said that the 10,000 number is way off; it won't be more than 6,000.

Stall tactic.

If the country thinks this is a 9/11 scale event, rather than what it really is, then Blanco et al have more chance of fending off a move to federalize the region.

With the cronies staying in charge, the relief money can be spent to defend the local politician's pre-storm failures.

If you read that post of an e-mail from inside NO from a cop, it sounds like they are thinking 60,000...that is a lot different than 6,000..

Yeppers, we need to keep your post so we can hang it around Witt's neck if he is wrong...I don't know how he can speak conclusively like that at this point.

They are just today going door to door, checking on people, and some of those homes are still so flooded..it will take a long time!

From what I'm seeing they will MAKE the numbers fit what they want to fit.... unless they can find a way to blame an even higher number on the President.
