Can somebody please post the link to the guys that are in NOLA that are keeping the Web Hosting Company up and running? I accidentally closed the page, didn't have it bookmarked, and can't find the darned link by searching.

This is what I've been watching.
Good Morning! ;-)
Why are liberals NOT demanding an environmental impact study of pumping toxic New Orleans water into the lake?
Personally speaking I think it would be a wise idea to study what exactly they are doing before they do it. I can only imagine what the accusations will be after the fact.
Gingrich is really getting me mad - "the system has failed". the guy is out of his mind. an evacuation of an entire city, the performance of the military in this - and he says "the system has failed".
Open Letter to Jesse Jackson:
Dear Mr. Jackson:
Shut up.
Sincerely,
M.H. King
And what do they have to say about local and state authorities who arguably multiplied their problems by incompetence?
I haven't read through all of this thread and so I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed:
My husband is trying to defend himself against a liberal. The lib is arguing that if Bush declared Louisiana a disaster area before the hurricane hit (last Sat.), he was negligent because he should have had supplies shipped and ready and waiting outside of the state for use after the hurricane hit.
Did Blanco not accept the aid or was there a breakdown in communication that supplies never got into LA?
Does anyone have a source for WHY no supplies were moved in right after the hurricane? Was that FEMA's job or was that under the jurisdiction of Blanco?
Anything I can tell him to link to?
Thanks.
She had the assets at her disposal. LA Nat'l Guard and inter-state compacts for more Nat'l Guard. Those are the assets for police presence / preservation of civil order.
The other material and manpower (SAR) asssets were in place by FEMA and the Feds.
Your original point was ...
Anyone who thinks that an investigation of this matter will show that the failure was with the state or local government in failing to request Federal involvement needs to read DHS' National Response Plan.I don't think you'll be pleased by what you find. It is very clear that DHS had the authority to roll FEMA into this on its own accord.
I disagree with your conclusion. So what? Maybe I'm just an obstinate idiot.
I live in a small rural community in Mich. So it's already a pretty conservative town. But I have a friend in the UK who was asking questions too. Lots of online friends. And some small groups on Yahoo that I connect with.
Newt on Fox: Talking about how system didn't work and how the laws need to be changed.
Hint for Newt: It's not the laws that need to be changed, it's the local officials who don't see a threat when its presented 72 hours in their face in advance and refuse to take necessary action.
Liberalism is the system and it failed miserably!!! He is saying what is without politicizing it.
Thanks BH!
Comintatus please post this to it's own thread so we can more easily ping others to it. Great Job!
Supplies were there. The local authorites advised against moving the supplies into NOLA becuase of civil unrest. The Red Cross website asserts this. The material was there.
Thank you so much for posting that!
supplies and material are pre-staged - but they cannot be staged inside the zone of destruction, what sense would that make. the first 48 hours of an event like this, requires the locals do something - anything, to help themselves. and at a minimum, the locals should maintain civil order so that when FEMA does get there, they don't have to enter anarchy in an attempt to deliver relief and begin evacuations. FEMA wasn't designed for that.
Why Mike, You're such a gentleman!...Not even a STFU?
;^)
Yep, exactly.
Luckily the media bias is so obvious now that even some people who I know who never believed there was bias -- are now wondering what's going on.
Then there are others I know, some even in my own family, who have gone off the deep end from listening to the constant Bush-bashing. It's getting pretty sad in one case I know about.
LOL!
That's perfect!
