Outrageous Reuters Bias ["Bush admin's botched plan left New Orleans at mercy of Katrina"]

The first to email about the latest outrage from Reuters was Banagor, who noticed it in his RSS reader, and then saw Reuters do a quick edit job.
But the story is still online at the Reuters web site, and you wont believe the first paragraph (or maybe you will). Remember, this is a news story, not an op-ed: New Orleans collects dead as officials dodge blame.
NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - New Orleans began the gruesome task of collecting its thousands of dead on Sunday as the Bush administration tried to save face after its botched rescue plans left the city at the mercy of Hurricane Katrina.
But they want us to believe they have no bias against the President.

I sure hope that our conservative pundits are warming up their keyboards here to counteract this nonsense. We heard from Chris Ruddy today and I know it's a holiday weekend but I hope they don't wait too long. I'm certainly not seeing any of them on TV, unless I've missed them.

I was just watching a live interview by a FOX info-babe with the black mayor of Baton Rouge. She says to him, I hear you have a very important person to visit tomorrow, tell us about it. Mayor: Oh yes, John Travolta is coming tomorrow to inspect the refugees. No, says the interviewer, Its somebody bigger than that! The mayor blushes and apologized as he answers, Oh, of course, Oprah is coming tomorrow. No, repeated the pretty blond, Somebody bigger than that! The President is coming tomorrow!! Oh yeah, the mayor quietly says Yeah, the president is coming
I'd like to think this was satire.
(sigh)
OTOH, Travolta as Thetan Inspector General of Refugees is no more ludicrous than Sean Penn's failed attempt at a Dunkik-esque rescue operation.

What a bunch of lying BS. They know better too, that is the worse part of all. They know how this government works, or at least they should. The power is with the state first.
___________________________________________________
Of course they know what they are saying. Careful reading of the article reveals this.
1) The header says" government officials dodge blame" this does not refer to a particular or specific government or official. In this way they are not on record as saying the feds actually acted improperly.
2) The lead paragraph then names Pres. Bush and refers to his "botched plan". The rest of the story does not give one supporting fact to the assertions in the lead. It merely quotes anecdotal testimony by non expert witnesses, and describes the deplorable conditions in New Orleans. Here, a vague reference to some "botched plan" and then a discription of the deplorable conditions. Again, no open factual charge being levied against anyone in particular, just that insidious linking of Pres. Bush to the hell hole that is now New Orleans.
This was purposefully misleading and a blatant and intentional misrepresentation of the facts at their disposal, designed to get readers to draw the conclusion that was not supported by facts which, of course never appear in the article.

Unfortunately this is a very true story. I saw it about 90 mins. ago. They will probably repeat it on FOX later tonight.

Just emailed. I can't seem to resist emailing these low lifes even tho I know it doesn't do a bit of good.
They are truly a disgrace.

Just gave them a piece of my mind.
The MSM's lynching of President Bush has got to stop. One voice will not make a difference, but a concerted effort among all his supporters surely will. Can't waith for Rush to get back on the air.

Kinda' makes a guy want to threaten a reporter or somethin'.
Guess all the Reuters people better go back home to UK pretty quick ~ hide behind police lines maybe.

'...conservative pundits warming up keyboards...'
It is driving me crazy that ONLY Bill O'Reilly mentioned Gov. Kathleen Blanco's name when discussing 'blame' for the chaos in New Orleans. The media is cultivating the seeds planted by the Dims....and they're loving it....
disgrace. What has happened to patriotism and caring more about your country than your own agenda and power.

Please just relax and let the prestitudes have their field day! Karl Rove and the President will soon sweep the floor with them!! Just wait and see when a new candidate to the USSC is nominated, then the goons are going to have another heart "attack"!!!
