As soon as I saw the initial report on FNC my antenna went up. Something was not right. I have seen New Orleans cops in action. They are trigger-happy, and about as professional as Barney Fife. They have a long record of corruption equal that of Louisiana politicians.
They couldn't shoot looters, but they managed to shoot good guys. Until the mess is over the entire New Orleans police department needs to be disbanded. They could go to the luxurious spots where the aldermen are holed up with their families and provide a security detail.
CNN and FOX said contractors were shot at by thugs, police then killed thugs.
Prayers again!

Maybe the NO police were following the Barney Fife admonition: NIP IT IN THE BUD!
Ya know, sometimes contract engineers repairing a levy can get violent.
