I have three cats and either they come with me or we starve together. I don't care if that's psycho or not. But then, again, I'd have scooped up my three cats and all the cat food I've stockpiled and gotten out of there before the #$%^& hurricane.
Yep - my evac plan includes time to corral all three felines and a riled-up Boston.
After talking with my sister, who said she'd grab her three girls and go, my evac plan has been updated to include a swing by her place to pick up her dog and cat as well.
It's not physco. It's LOVE. God bless you and all of those like you who are blessed to know the love and kindness of animals in our lives.
I feel exactly the same way about my one cat.
The abandoned cats might end up faring better than the dogs, if only they can find a clean water source. Cats can climb trees and houses.
