Yep - my evac plan includes time to corral all three felines and a riled-up Boston.

After talking with my sister, who said she'd grab her three girls and go, my evac plan has been updated to include a swing by her place to pick up her dog and cat as well.

Yep. I'm putting together my big cat carrier right now so I don't ever have to waste time assembling it if I need to snatch felines and fly. My emergency kits are full of canned cat food, canned tuna, and if all else fails, a machete so I can chop up looters and feed them to my cats. ;^)

We live just off the DC Beltway and I keep 3 evac-packs, 1 for me, 1 for DH and one for kitty. The gas tank is kept full and our emergency destination is to get away from the rest of the population - no shelters.
