What good is a plama tv if there is no electricity or cable to tap into?

I bet there were more than 100,000 that remained behind and it wasn't solely because they didn't have a way out. They just didn't believe or heed the warnings and the belated mandatory evacuation notice by Nagin. The last time the city experienced a major hurricane was 40 years ago.

I agree, but for a different reason. If they're too stubborn, stupid or greedy to leave then they're not worth the effort. There are plenty of others who are waiting to be rescued.

Let it be recorded for history, THAT the people who are screaming, kavetching and playing the race and blame cards ARE THE SAME PEOPLE who are not giving aid and comfort to the survivors NOW. They are distracting, obstructing and preventing Katrina disaster Relief & Rescue people and related administration people from aiding the survivors effectively who are there on the front lines now! Tim Russert needs to be tried for treason for his negligent behavior.
The Bush Admin. should no longer waste precious time debating an obvious dissenter like a Tim Russert.

Let the men run things and do as they are wont to do. In my better days, I learned survival skills that never involved stealing or harming anyone. God took care of me I don't mind being dependent on Him. I do what is feasible for me and let Him worry about the rest.
I'm entering the phase of my life where I am going to be dependent on someone of group of people and will be considered a "useless" eater. If anybody tries to steal my stuff in a nursing home and I have any strength left at all, I'll try to choke them. I would like to believe that my human dignity and feelings will be respected.
These people are not being treated like cattle, and you have no idea how many people in Texas, and elsewhere, who have opened their own homes to complete strangers!

Your southern unhospitality and bad manners are showing. I said I don't like big cities. Any of them. What is so hard to understand about that? Texas is too hot. If the air conditioning goes, I'm dead. What is so hard to understand about that?
BTW what is the northern part of the crime family doing for the southern branch?
