You are really enjoying this ain't ya.
Do you know why the mayor and governor waited so long to order the evacuation? Do you know why they didn't use buses to get everyone out?
ok...
Too bad the idiots who ran that city deserted the people. That's democrats in a nutshell.
It was unfair to humanity... not one particular group... please quit trying to be devisive.... yes we know the poor were hit hardest. they always are... what good does it do to try to stir emotion.
The storm sucked it killed lots... more than you can imagine.
time for your zot fool.
Hey, New Orleans had an evacuation plan. The mayor failed to put it into action. This whole, sad situation could have been avoided if the mayor had cared about the people who presumabley elected him. BTW, welcome to FR and your first post today. I don't imagine you'll be hanging around long.
What is your suggestiong that would have stopped this from occuring? If you were the predisdent?
Explain this. School busses in New Orleans lie useless in flood waters. These busses could have been commandeered by the mayor to bus evacuees out BEFORE the storm hit. Are you going to blame Bush for this?
Thanks for signing up to post this thoughtless, error-ridden rant. Thanks for posting all your solutions too.
It's all very sad and we need to pray for these people and then roll up our sleeves and get to work. The power of God's nature is vast and awesome and nothing we do can make it less so at this time. Maybe someday we'll know how to tame hurricanes, predict earthquakes, stop volcanoes and tsunamis but right now we can only suffer their effects when they occur. Stop the blame game, because it is just that, a game, and doesn't help a single soul now in need.

Complete lack of leadership from the Democrats closest to the situation.
One of your buddies is speaking in Jackson MS right now....

WWL
7:22 P.M. - JACKSON, MS (AP): The president of the NAACP says class and economic status played a clear role in how the federal government responded to Hurricane Katrina.
Bruce Gordon says there are clear discrepancies between how the government responded to September Eleventh and how it reacted to the needs of Katrina's victims, who were largely poor and black.
For now, though, the civil rights leader says he's not going to point any fingers. Gordon says that can wait until after the storm victims get the care they need.
The NAACP president spoke in Mississippi hours after top advisers to the president met with African-American leaders in Washington.
