I do think they should be mad at Trent "the-government-is-wonderful" Lott and his idiotic remarks. Well, this Mississippian has little, if any, use for our Junior Senator.

I am proud of the State of Mississippi too! And I am from the Midwest.
Mississippi is one of the poorest states in our Great Country. It just goes to show you money can't buy Honesty, Compassion or Break the Spirit that has made America Great!
God Bless You All. You ARE NOT FORGOTTEN MISSISSIPPI!

Well, this Mississippian has little, if any, use for our Junior Senator. If we can't get rid of Bennie in the 2nd District, how 'bout asking Clinton LeSuere to run for the U.S. Senate? He's dang sure better than Senator Hairdoo.

Bourbon, Trent has redeemed himself this week. I think he "gets it" now.

Are there specific Mississippi Hurricane Relief charities where the donations can be sent?
I'd prefer to donate or organize collections for Miss.

What did Trent Lott say? I haven't seen nor heard him.
Mostly what I indicated. The relief efforts are wonderful, everything is fine, it's unfair to make any criticism of FEMA or the (so-called) relief efforts.
He sounded like a political tool getting ready for a huge CYA exercise to save his butt from the voters. Personally, I think Mississippi can do a lot better than Lott in the Senate. But that's their business, I guess.

Regardless of Trent's bad and dumb things.
His's office (Lydia Rogers? in particular)
literally saved my wife and I from financial
ruin 4 years years ago while dealing with
the Post Office and the Dept of Labor
over my wife's workers comp claim.
After 9 months of the run around one
phone call to her and things starting happening.
So forgive me if I don't join in on the chorus.

The Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Relief Fund is another one you might consider. Go to www.clarionledger.com and click on "How You Can Help" and then scroll down. I sent them some money today.

Lydia is a great lady. I know her well and she and the other people in Trent's Jackson office are really good people. They put in some long hours, too.
To: pollyg107
Lydia was literally a life saver for us.

I agree with them. It is all NO, all the time. MS gets a mention maybe twice an hour.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm just not a Trent fan to begin with. :-)

They have miles and miles of debris fields along their coastlines that they can't even begin to get to, with little hope of getting the kind of assistance New Orleans is getting with supplies and attention.
They might do better to start in with the crazy talk about the CIA and cussing out the President.
