Rev. Al Sharpton said Thursday that looters who terrorized flood-ravaged New Orleans this week acted out of anger that the services paid for with their taxes were not available.
"The ones that are looting are people there that work paycheck to paycheck, [who] paid their taxes for an infrastructure that collapsed on them," Sharpton told MSNBC's "Countdown." "People in that kind of environment are responding in all kinds of insane ways," he explained. "It doesn`t justify TVs being stolen, but clearly to get water and to get food and to get milk for babies, even though it is not refrigerated, certainly, you could [not] call that looting."
The firebrand agitator blamed President Bush for the looting, saying much of the unrest took place while the "pharaoh diddled in his suburban Rome in Crawford, Texas."
"The president stays on vacation, comes back a day late and a dollar short? I mean, this is an outright . . . " he complained, without finishing the sentence.

Reverend Al not only didn't read his history books he also needs to bone up on Scripture. After healing the lame guy didn't Jesus say something like, "now take up your bed and follow me...." ? Meaning stand on your own two feet and get hiking.
Where does it say "Take up your bed, now go out raping, pillaging and looting" ?
It'd been much better if you were kicking in doors for looting at AL Shahptung's house!
Looters were thieves, some felonoly class. Many of the looters were morbidly obese, even after days without food and carrying all that loot.
I'm not going to wade through all of the posts so I may be
very redundant, BUT, HEY AL, you pay yo' taxes?
I would be amazed to find 3% of the looters as actual employed persons who pay any taxes at all.
I cannot begin to guess what items these politicians ingest to have such colorful hallucinations.
PS- I do NOT want any of it, no matter what......
When did Pacino say that? Was it in regard to this situation?

I HATE, DESPISE and LOATHE race baiters. I can't even begin to express how much loathing I have for these people right now.
By the way, I'm a member of a minority, and neither white nor black. These idiots are not helping their people. They're hurting them BIG TIME. Who are they speaking to when they go off on their rant about the "White Man"? Are they trying to convince anybody how bad the "White Man" is?
