There were more than enough men to take out whatever roving gangs there were. Pathetic.
They listened to the President last Saturday, and took their family out of harms way.
When things like this happen......... you know this country is decadent!
That was my exact thought. They decent people couldn't call for help or lock up the murderers and rapists, but they could have, as a collective group, stopped these crimes. It's an absolute shame.

They should have formed a citizens militia, with the few police DEPUTIZING every able bodied male to form groups, go though the crowd, letting criminals know they would be OPPOSED!!!

Most otherwise good men will run and hide in times like these. As has been pointed out, by others far more eloquent than I, the veneer separating civil society from chaos is very, very thin and there are few who will stand up alone and fight it.

I saw one of those [men?] yesterday evening trying to get on a women and children only bus dressed in a pink shirt and a wig!
The left wing MSM would have spun this cure as worse than the disease. The headline would be "Helpless, hungry, disenfranchised blacks hunted down by vigilante mobs in deep south reenactment of Jim Crow justice."
I'm cautiously hopeful that most Americans will see through the left wing spin on events in New Orleans and understand the truth of what is happening there. The truth is ugly, and it isn't racial. That's a race baiting left wing lie. It is, rather, deeply and undeniably political.
