You make a good point. It seems that all these liberals are experts in geology, disaster relief and logistics. In truth they know very little about what they are commenting on. It is all about getting President Bush. I think that this time they have gone to far. The charges are so outrageous that they insult ones intelligence. I have faith in the American people and there sense of fairness. The Blumenthals and their like will be seen for what they are, evil people who put political gain ahead of the national interest. We live in a imperfect world, the relief effort got off to a slow start. Tuesday was the day the ball was dropped, but as I see it the Mayor of New Orleans and the Gov. of LA are the ones who did the dropping. The President can only do what he is requested to do by the governors of the various states. Both the mayor and governor in LA lost control of the situation on Monday when the hurricane hit and communications went down. The scale of the hurricane's damage was on a grand scale and that alone slowed the response. However the mayor's and governor's lack of action both before and after the storm hit added greatly to the Federal government getting the relief effort started. Saying anything else is undermining the government of the United States.

'What we have is total civil disorder fueled in part by 5 years of " Bush stole the election from Al Gore by disenfranchising Blacks."'
No, what we have now is total civil disorder fueled by 45 years of "the Great Society", where inappropriate behaviors were excused, proper expectations of academic, civic and societal conduct were dismissed, and 30% of Americans wallow about watching Jerry Springer, getting fat, and doing no good for anybody or anything.

The conservative press continues to write in a moderate tone.
I am sick of it.

I guarantee, if Clinton were pres, the DNC media would be destroying the Gov and the Mayor.
As they should be today.

I feel sad people have lost so much. In a way, my personal loss may mirror theirs but at least I have a home. Some people have lost everything. My heart goes out to them even as I dwell on a crisis in my personal life.

David Horowitz in his
Radical Son refers to Blumenthal as a Soviet apologist--one would ask Blumenthal why he never criticized an evil empire which thought nothing of intentionally starving tens of millions of its citizens to death, while hustling millions more off to horrible deaths in its gulag.
Bob Livingston spoke on behalf of our U.S. Senate candidate in 2000 (at a dinner entertained by Paul Shanklin). When I approached Livingston to shake his hand he had a look of fear--whatever Flynt, Lentzner et al did to Livingston, it was dark and deeply afflicting.
Let us presume for a moment that the mayor of New Orleans was George W. Bush--why did he not evacuate his citizens? Why did he not use his police to prevent the looting, shooting and rape? Were the NO mayor Bush, cries of impeachment would reach a deafening crescendo.
Blumenthal the accused wifebeater who suddenly and suspiciously dropped his lawsuit against Matt Drudge--the question is raised in many quarters: what would discovery have revealed?
No, we are not impressed by the scatalogical yammerings of a Soviet apologist, particularly one who trumpets the "end of the nation-state"--
Let us more correctly await the withering away of the Democrat Party and the American Left.
Like so many submerged school buses, useless, idle, ruined.

"Will they ever learn to see somebody else's misfortune as something more than their political opportunity? A few days ago, John Caldera guest hosted a Denver radio talk show. He coined a term that fits perfectly -- the political looter. The person who uses disaster for political gain is no different from the one who uses disaster to steal jewelry, TV's, cars, ....
