I've only heard Col. Hunt (On O'Reilly) say that the Gov. of La. NEVER 'pulled the trigger' to request Fed. assistance. Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't the Gov. of any State have to request help in order receive Fed. help? From what I understand, NG troops from one State cannot enter another State without being requested by said state's Gov. Correct? If what I've heard from Col. Hunt is correct, how can the MSM continue to critize the President and his response time. This is really bothering me and if anyone can set me straight I'd appreciate it.

Cause he is a pubbie and the gov is a demo rat and a stupid on e at that.

Wonder what would have happened if the pubbie had one.

After all his family had seen a few of these up close and personal in India.

What most people fail to realize a Typhoon can put a hurricane to shame.

Yes. The Gov. is in CHARGE of the NGB, as they are technically STATE employees, but under military command structure. Governors invite other states' units in as well, ususally in joint exercises, if you'll recall.

Go back. Remember places like Kent State in Ohio. Rhoades in Ohio called out the National Guard.....NOT the Pres.

So, while military units are activated and commanded under national structure, the civilian command of the state for the NGB rules deployment.
