Gee...wonder how he gets his "jones edged"?

I don't even know what that means, and I stopped caring by the time I typed "even".

Because President Bush has appointed more blacks/minorities to high level positions then any other president before him. From what I have read, President Bush and Condileeza Rice have a very close relationship & for this nobody to infer that President Bush is a racist is insulting. I just meant that she should slap some sense into his skull.

Kanye West just cost the benefits a bunch of donation. The hatred that has pointed to the president by West, Jessie Jackson and Rangel is a disgrace to our President our country and their color.

I just watched the video.

I agree that regardless of how you feel personally, when you're at a charity fund-raiser like this you have to keep your fool mouth shut. No class on West's part.

Still ... that video was HILARIOUS. Poor Mike Myers. I wonder what he was about to say.

Those folks need to keep their freakin TRAPS shut!! One evening I had nothing to do, so I surfed the tube trying catch a good show(prffff, like if they still exist). Anyway, I stumbled on to the Brown show, you know the one with Whitney Houston, I was curious to see how this clown acted with Whitney, anyway on one of the scenes the foul mouth Brown goes on a tangent slamming Bush left and right and whitney tries to stop him and she kept telling him W was her president...WELL, that did, I tuned out lickettysplit! Whitney has always been a favorite of mine, unfortunately she married the WORST human being on the face of this earth. She looks like she's always high on coke or pot or something...DARN and she used to sing so beautifully! What a wasted gift..what a shame!

Just now on FOX: Rev Al Sharpton "I salute Kanye West in what he said on his telethon tonight."

Race card, evil whitey vacations while blacks die, "he will have to explain in history where he was for those 2 days while (black) people were dying in his country"...

Although I highly doubt they will read it, I emailed NBC. It made me feel a little better.

Here's what I emailed them:

Inasmuch as it's been more than two hours since the tactless comments by Kanye West on your hurricane relief program and no one from the station has appologized, I just wanted to inform you that you lost more than 40 viewers (just from people I know personally). I am sure the number of lost viewers is much higher than that since the majority of Americans aren't as ignorant as West. Although we will still make donations, it will not be through your organization.

For the record, we don't consider the following an apology:

Statement from NBC regarding tonight's comments from Kanye West on the telethon:
"Tonight's telecast was a live television event wrought with emotion. Kanye West departed from the scripted comments that were prepared for him, and his opinions in no way represent the views of the networks. It would be most unfortunate if the efforts of the artists who participated tonight and the generosity of millions of Americans who are helping those in need are overshadowed by one person's opinion."

Sincerely, an American with a newly found interest in CBS

"I hate the way they portray us in the media. You see a black family and they say we are looting, you see a white family and they say they are looking for food. And, you know, its been five days because most of the people ARE black. And even for me to complain, I would be a hypocrite because I would turn away from the TV because it’s too hard to watch. I’ve even been shopping before even giving a donation, so now I’m calling my business manager right to see what is the biggest amount I can give. And just to imagine, if I was down there and those are my people down there. If there is anybody out there that wants to do anything that we can help about the way America is set up the help the poor, the black people, the less well off as slow as possible. Red cross is doing as much as they can. We already realize a lot of the people that could help are at war right now, fighting another way. And now they’ve given them permission to go down and shoot us."

"George Bush doesn’t care about black people."

Race card, ace in the hole or deuce?

Somebody needs to tell him about this.......

From Powerlineblog.com

Why Was New Orleans Evacuated?

A number of our readers have been highly critical of state and local authorities in Louisiana. However, it must be acknowledged that they did one important thing that saved countless lives: they ordered the mandatory evacuation on Sunday that caused most people to leave the city. This mandatory evacuation order was a departure from past practice, when evacuations in the face of approaching hurricanes have always been voluntary.

So what prompted the order that prevented Hurricane Katrina from being a natural disaster of unprecedented magnitude?

The mayor called the order unprecedented and said anyone who could leave the city should.
Gov. Kathleen Blanco, standing beside the mayor at a news conference, said President Bush called and personally appealed for a mandatory evacuation for the low-lying city, which is prone to flooding.

The City of New Orleans and its residents owe the President a profound debt of gratitude.

Thanks to reader Debbie Eberts.

I thought this was a satire or something, but apparently Drudge and several other sites that shall remain nameless also have it up. Just in case anyone doubted the authenticity.

These people really have no shame. I guess they get up there in front of a mike and can't stop themselves. People are dying down there. We have a few entertainers get together, some of which were supporters of the president, and this dope goes up and makes it political and sours it for half the country.

Have you all actually seen this video?

This clown is a complete moron. He couldn't even put a coherent sentence together. Yes, he must have graduated from the Jesse Jackson School of Media Whoring, Poverty Pimping and Race-Baiting.

Kanwho West P.H.D

This is the sad state of black America.

Why not Rolling Stone, he's on the cover of the latest issue of Time.

Kanye is a very talented guy for what he does. Granted, many people don't like his brand of music.. but he's still very talented.

Nevertheless, he's way left of center as expected.

I only saw the last four or five minutes, so I missed most of the "action", as it were.

I am sure BOR will latch onto it, as will pretty much every other talk show host. Apparently, they still don't get the fact that ranting like that to a captive audience breeds nothing but resentment. They have gotten more and more shrill with each election cycle they've lost, and they are losing more and more with each one.

I am 58 years old. I consider myself very informed. I have never heard of Kanye West. Therefore, he is of no consequence in my life. I move on.

Now, now, every great officer was once a butter bar, there's no comparing some douche bag and an over-exuberant but patriotic American. :)
