I was positive that we would be reading about their deaths in the british press but I am happy to hear there were a number of them who were bright enough to stay together.
I do wonder how long after they entered before they realized they were in a whole nother world.
I kinda think I saw them interviewed on Fox as they were going in, because I remember the story about them being in FL when Katrina was here. They seemed like they thought it was a lark, and I remember thinking, "Oh my, I wonder if they know what it's going to be like in there...."

Jazz, gospel, rap and rithym & blues ain't no classic music. More like jungle music.
** What century did you grow up in?
"** What century did you grow up in?"
You mean what civilization.
Well, they can never say their trip to America wasn't memorable!
Yeah, I remember Mardi Gras too.
You and me both. They were guests in our country and I am sorry they were made to fear for their lives --- not from the hurricane, but from low-life thugs.
And yeah...when I vacation, I don't keep up with the latest news either (hubby rolls his eyes when I turn on Fox News at home. On vacation......???)
Gosh you're nice. I'm taking notes, and I'm going to practice!

Not only did they not watch TV, they didn't hear the radio, or see the headlines on newspapers, or see people nailing up plywood, or just engage in small talk in the bars Friday or Saturday night...???
I agree with an earlier post, they probably thought it would be "cool" to ride out a hurricane (in fairness, I'm sure a lot of Americans did the same)--big mistake.
Thunder Dome...
They were naive...like lots of folks
Sounds like this bunch was escorted by Justerini and Brooks.
"because they were being attacked for being white...nothing unusual about that to me."
Anyone who is at all surprised by the behavior on the streets and in the Superdome simply has not been paying attention. If people want to deny what they have seen repeatedly with their own eyes, they are free to do so. Just don't ask me to do it.
You obivously haven't listened to much jazz. Jazz is freeforming and complex, it requires a lot of musical talent.
Lol! I gasped at the stupidity of that move!
What civilization did you grow up in? That's easy.
It was that civilization of bacteria manifesting itself as the filthy microbial brown gunk I saw in a public urinal last May in Manhattan.
Racist moron.
Take a week off, perhaps, it'll be permanent.
