MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. (Aug. 28, 2005) -- About 80 Marines debarked a plane and ran into the open arms of loved ones here Aug. 28, following a seven-month deployment to Iraq.
The Marines, from A Company, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, were deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
(The separation) was really hard, said Tricia Noel, wife of Sgt. Nicholas B. Noel, company guide. Its great to have him home."
Other squadron members were also on hand to welcome the Marines home, including the group commanding officer, Col. Jonathan G. Miclot.
Its great to see the Marines with their families, said Capt. Shelton Richards, the company's commanding officer. Mission complete. Its great to be home.
Thank you, Marines for your service and sacrifice!
God Bless them every one.
But some need showing here...

Miramar had three plane loads of Marines returning home this past week. We took our Grandson out to greet one of the flights during their return. Our Grandson had a load of fun and really enjoyed being able to give a lot of Oorah greetings to a lot of Marines. We didn't realize just how comfortable he was until he tried to board the flight when it was time for them to leave. His rational was that if they were Marines he could go with them and see his Dad. I have to give him credit for a can do attitude.
Thanks to all the Marines for their service.

Wonderful pictures! God bless them!
