Yes, I believe they are. I know I was vaccinated against typhoid and typhus (at least) back in grade school in the 1980s, so it was in place then. From what I hear of parenting now, there's a truly impressive battery of vaccinations schoolkids have to have now.
unless typhoid and typhus are included in the DTP combo vaccinations they are not on texas's mandated list.
